When relationships does not mean a thing!

Have you ever sit with your relatives or friends who you consider close, but still afraid to utter a word cause you think that might really hurt them or you are afraid they might consider this offending. Hmm.. , it's a real tragedy this predicament. I only wish I don't have to face a situation like this. Guess, the ideal situation is for people to be more open and talk it over honestly with sincerity.

enna..."some years.."nu sollarthukku badhila "some months"nu sollittaen(damn.. time runs, and im getting old too soon) in the reply section ashok and woodworm rightly did'nt agree with u.relief!this world still has some people who like sense.padichittu mariyaadhaya reply pannu..
apparam...it was very sad to see lara go,unlike you(who started watching cricket pretty early.i started watching only from my college days)i never had the luck to see any of his great innings live (although i did see the 400 not out ,the 50 or 60 odd runs he scored against australia in the highest test run chase and his century in the 2003 wc opener),so it was all the more frustrating to see him go,when clearly he had a few more years left.unlike sachin he still has most of his reflexes intact and he's always played the game with a childlike aggression (ok,pardon the exxageration.i can almost hear mike holding say,'many times childish' )but unfortunately,it was revenge time for the westindies administers.
so... until i find a new lara i'll keep him along with my name.
well,no matter how much j.krishnamurti i read, its still a bit difficult to die to the past.
pssst..... damn it.

rangalara,

This post is fiercely defensive, while the current post is fiercely open.

At this moment, I think the opinions expressed in the current post remains true. I also think there is not much of a difference between the old post and the current one.

If you try to draw a corollary between the old post and the current one, i think both are advocating the same point i.e being open or honest to oneself or with friends or acquaintances helps. Assume a scenario where your friend tries to convince you to do something which you don't like (which according to many or vast majority is the 'correct' thing), you definitely can be open with him/her and then try to provide him/her with appropriate reasons as to why you think you are not convinced. This conversation helps and I believe it is something which is very important.
The only point I am insisting here is, if both the parties are open i.e without any pretension it helps in putting each one's point across on the table. Now, when such thoughts are out in the open, it becomes easy for both the parties to understand the other's predicament and then make a prudent decision as to what is 'right' according to them. There is nothing anyone can do, once a person picks up his/her 'choice'. The only prerequisite before someone picks up his 'choice', I am insisting is 'talking it out' with the rest and educate the other with your opinion in a clear fashion.
Now, having taken the decision, I think it requires maturity for the other to agree to that decision and respect the same.

You think still my opinions are changed ?

Regarding Lara, he is a genius at least he plays cricket mostly in positive fashion and tries to be an entertainer, but our guys are total bore. Dravid/Sachin/Sehwag/Sourov - everyone are totally lost on how they should play cricket. And worst of all, we have people like Sunny Gavaskar dictating these guys on 'how to play cricket', when he himself advocated bore cricket during his heydays.

Anyway I agree with you there can be no other Lara, though when Yuvraj started I thought he had shades of Lara in his punching drives or pull shots. Problem with our guys is that, we are too insecure and stop playing the good attractive strokes because they are risky and find refuge in ugly strokes for a 'secure' career and 'stable' average. I think this is where coach/selectors/managers/captains must chip in and tell players to play their original game rather than such self-defeating defensive games :-(
I think Sourov, during his captaincy days showed shades of aggression and that helped Sehwag/Zaheer/Yuvraj/Harbhajan.

Rahul is a fiercely defensive guy, so expecting him to do a turn-around is tough.

Oh my darling santho,
i wish you dont embarass yourself like this anymore.
i cant stop myself thinking like this...if fortunately man-no-hands dies, you'll be the perfect replacement for the PM post.man...so horribly closed, horribly diplomatic.i hope someone injects some truth serum into you(illaatti atleast oru quarter vangi kudi).its a shame that you cant accept the past(and you are stuck if you dont accept, you can never move along). afterall we all say or do something stupid at some point of time, why bother hanging on to it.why cant we just move forward, why still defend it? why the hell do you need to create a corollary(kandravi daa!)?
its very difficult to speak sense with you.you make everything so unnecessarily complicated by being touchy and diplomatic(please leave that to the priests and politicians).any person with some sanity can rip this post(your reply to mine)apart(i've done it a million times and im not gonna do it again).its so contradictory and defensive(you dare not say its open! the only time you open up is when you go to the loo).
why cant you show the same objective sense that you show in cricket in everything else.you dont defend the indian cricketers just bcoz they are indian,do you? similarly, dont defend yourself(you sure know to yourself that what you said at that time was not really sensible)just bcoz its you!
you dont lose a thing in accepting a piece of crap as crap.in doing so you only move forward...perhaps sometime you might discover something which is not crappy.
